As a lacrosse brand, we owe our passion for the sport to the creators of the game, the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people. This sock pays homage to the creators of the game through a myriad of thoughtfully situated motifs.

The imagery is derived from a range of mediums, all of which carrying significance in its own right and in relation to the design as a whole.

The top-most pattern is purple on the white band and is derived from the Haudenosaunee creation story. It represents the celestial sky world and is common in Haudenosaunee raised bead work. It is said that in the next life, lacrosse is played in the sky world.

The middle band with the purple base depicts various wampum belts. Wampum belts carry deep social significance, and have even been considered to function as an international treaty during the colonial era. The patterns on these belts are created by weaving beads made of rare purple and white shell. On the foreground is the Hiawatha belt pattern, representing the six nations of the Haudenosaunee confederacy, and is now recognized as their national flag. At the base of this purple band is the two row wampum, which symbolizes harmony between peoples. On top of these two rows are human figures found in various wampum belts, though, here, they are holding lacrosse sticks. The fusion of the latter two wampum designs is meant to symbolize the lacrosse community that we share.

The final and bottom band presents a purple hatched triangle pattern. This design is drawn from early Haudenosaunee pottery and is meant to resemble a turtles shell. It is another reference to the sky woman creation story and represents our shared foundation on Earth.

Together, this design nods to the Haudenosaunee and represents the community of lacrosse players they have inspired in this world and the next.
